A real page from the Connector
This page from the published preview covers benefits analysis and planning. Read the decision cues below, then try the original practice scenario. The scenario is a learning exercise, not a recalled PMI exam question.

Read the decision cues
Analysis and planning asks how benefits will be achieved and measured. Distinguish the intended benefit, the indicator used to measure it, the starting baseline and the program components expected to contribute. A dashboard alone does not establish that connection.
Illustrative example, not a client case
A program aims to reduce the time taken to process service requests. The team has selected “average processing time” as an indicator, but has no reliable starting measurement. A sponsor asks to see a percentage improvement next month. What would you clarify before reporting progress?
Try it with your own work
These notes stay in this open page. They are not sent or saved by Massar Prime. Print or save a PDF before leaving; use non-confidential descriptions.
Compare your reasoning
Establish a credible baseline and agree how the indicator is measured before claiming a percentage improvement. Check that the measure refers to the same process, population and time period, and identify which program changes are expected to affect it. This makes later comparisons interpretable; it does not guarantee that the benefit will be delivered.
Use the full scenario and its constraints. A decision cue helps you reason; it is not a universal rule that overrides the question.
What is included in the full edition?
The full Connector is seven PDFs: a Foundation guide, five domains and pre-exam decision rules. Each language edition is $49. This free page and exercise are a preview, not the full set.
